English abstract
The aim of this PhD study was to investigate whether a health-promoting intervention can enhance the experienced action competence among people with dysglycaemia diagnosed by screening in general practice. The thesis has 4 substudies:
1. To develop a health education intervention in primary care aimed at Action Competence for people with screen-detected dysglycaemia
2. To validate a translated measure for activation
3. To evaluate the health education intervention on psychosocial outcomes
4. To evaluate the health education intervention on behavioural outcomes
Paper 1
In this sub-study the intervention was developed through three phases of the framework from the British Medical Research council for intervention development: Preclinical Phase, Phase 1 and Phase 2.
In the preclinical phase we identified health-related action competence as the overall aim, with four learning objectives relevant for the target group: Motivation, informed decision-making, action experience and social involvement. In Phase 1, we designed an intervention including two one-to-one sessions and 8 group meetings with personal action plans as the main pedagogical method. In Phase 2, the intervention

2. At validere et oversat måleinstrument for aktivering
3. At evaluere den sundhedsfremmende undervisning på psykosocialt udbytte
4. At evaluere den sundhedsfremmende undervisning på sundhedsmæssige handlinger
Studie 1
